Sportsgirl Leather Spliced Legging, Bardot Asym Tee, Jo Mercer Alexandra patent boots (available instore), REDBERRY faux fur vest, Lily King Wishbone necklace, Sportsgirl Mistress sunglasses, Mimco bag (similar here).

Since the arrival of my Lily King wishbone necklace, I have been awaiting the chance to style a AW13/14 minimalist ensemble. The best thing about minimalist fashion is that it eliminates over indulging on clothes and places emphasis on  staple pieces. Not to mention, the simple execution of minimalist fashion is what deems a look as effortlessly cool.

I have styled last years REDBERRY faux fur vest with this seasons threads, particularly focusing on a balanced juxtaposition within the multi textures of the luxe leather, patent, and fur. The simplicity of the white tee lifts the dark tones in the outfit and is completed by a splash of silver seen in the wishbone necklace. Otherwise, the perfect look for a casual rendezvous and coffee at the Valley Emporium, with my favourite blogger Lauren, from Love, The Fringe.

Berry: Winter’s Desert Palette

This season I am particularly loving the seasonal splash of berry hues, or as I like to call it, winter’s desert palette. With a richness in colour, berry accessories add vibrance to an ensemble. Style tip: team a berry coloured accessory with a sleek black look: wet look  denim or tights, a neutral coloured comfy knit, black ankle boots and dark shades.

Sheike Manic Crepe Jacket, Sportsgirl Baroque Print Dress (unavailable), Tiffany & Co Cherub charm and chain, Tiffany & Co Return to Tiffany earrings.

This Baroque print dress has been my summer staple and now that Autumn is upon us, I plan on celebrating its versatility by teaming it with some seasonal pieces…like this cobalt crepe blazer from Sheike. With a cropped cut and lightweight fabric, this piece is practical enough to wear casually while its still quite warm and can also dress up an outfit for nightwear!

I found myself frolicking through the meadows in this little combination with my fashion designer and blogger friend Lauren, otherwise known as The Fringe. We particularly loved the contrast of the cobalt blue and black against the greenery and setting sun. Don’t forget to check out her fashion blog, The Fringe and vote her as the top finalist for the Queens Plaza Avant Garde Design Competition.
