Endless Rose Fringe Mini Dress (available at Shopbop), Wittner Rover Heels, Secret Shhh Minimal Infinity Necklace (available at Indooroopilly Shopping Centre), Michael Kors Blair Pave Watch (similar style here), Oroton Handbag (similar style here), Fossil Bracelet (similar style here), Royal Aquamarine Hepburn Sunglasses.

It’s been a very busy couple of weeks at The Blonde Silhouette HQ, but after a weekend of some much needed rest and relaxation, I’m back with black, wearing this new fringe mini dress from Shopbop. I love the playful movement seen in the tassels as they flutter in the gentle breeze of this spring sunset, it’s truly magical. If you haven’t already, incorporate fringing into your wardrobe, by means of a simple LBD, or the classic fringe miniskirt.

Of course, you may be momentarily distracted by the glistening sparkle of my new rose gold, Infinity Necklace from the new Minimal Collection at Secret Shhh. If like me you love delicate and dainty jewels, then you will adore the understated and sophisticated nature of the Minimal Collection, which highlights fine chains and statement pendants in gold, rose gold and silver metals. Of course this beautiful necklace is best teamed with a classic timepiece, like this Michael Kors Rose Gold Watch and bangle.

Now to make the most of this romantic sunset! x

Peppa & Pearls

Tyson And Peppa – the name on every Brisbane fashionista’s lips, is a trendy little boutique just off Brisbane’s James Street precinct. It’s owner, the fabulous Josh Kilroy has devoted his life to fashion, from styling editorials to runway, lookbooks and high profile fashionistas. His latest entrepreneurial venture sees him stocking leading Australian designers like Zhivago, Michael Lo Sordo, Casey Tanswell and more.

I stepped into the newly launched boutique last week and was instantly transported into a more personal working space rather than a storefront, enveloping Joshua’s aesthetic of classic minimalist and luxury.

How To: Style The ‘Casual Corporate Look’

Casual Friday's!

French Connection Faux Fur Vest, Country Road Silk Shirt, Seed Culotte Pant, Jo Mercer Alba Heels, MCQ Alexander McQueen Tube Belt, Kate Spade Emerson Place Phoebe Tote, Marc by Marc Jacobs Skinny Bracelet, Michael Kors Reagan Watch, MAC Cosmetics Lipstick.

‘Casual Fridays’ have just become a thing in my office (yay!) and last friday I had the difficult task of teaming together a casual look, appropriate for a corporate office. I know it’s not rocket science, but it’s hard to get a balance between model off duty and professional chic right in one go.

This little style challenge got me thinking about other lady bosses that work in a more relaxed, corporate environment and the dress codes that fusion together casual + chic. What does one’s wardrobe consist more of: jeans or slacks? Pumps or points? Cuffs or sophisticated wrist wear?

I’m starting my prep early and pulling out a pair of culottes, as they have a great relaxed shape perfect for Casual Friday’s. Because I wear a darker palette during the week, I’ll interchange black with pink, in the form of a silky, oversized shirt, layered with a faux fur vest like this one from French Connection. In any other day you’ll see me in a point stiletto, but this Friday I’m going for a more casual heel in a neutral taupe colour. Add one flesh tote, a sprinkle of rose gold jewellery, a nude matte lippy and I mean business (even in my casuals).

See my guide below for the Do’s & Don’ts of ‘Casual Corporate’ dressing.

Do:

1. Choose luxe fabrics! Think sheer, silk, crepe and cotton in relaxed styles.

2. Consider footwear, why not opt for a thicker block/stacked heel or ankle boots.

3. Add texture, a faux fur vest adds a little glam to a work day.

Dont:

1. Expose yourself. No one wants to see your midriff, thighs or side boob, keep it classy especially if you work with gents.

2. Wear thongs, crocs or any type of hideous flats that will label you as the office dag.

3. Pull out the skin tight, skinny denim or bodycon styles. It’s not a drinking sesh and you’ll want to leave a little left to the imagination with the colleagues.

From left to right: Royal Aquamarine Dean Sunglasses, Royal Aquamarine McQueen Sunglasses, Royal Aquamarine Kelly Sunglasses, Royal Aquamarine Hepburn Sunglasses.

If you follow my gram, you’ll notice I’ve acquired quite the collection of killer shades from my new favourite eyewear label, Royal Aquamarine. Royal Aquamarine are ticking all the right boxes when it comes to production, limiting their distribution to 100 frames per year to ensure the highest quality and exclusivity. After all, there’s nothing unique about wearing the same frames as every fashionista on the block.

While extremely stylish in design, these sunglasses offer utility, with each lens made from mineral glass to allow for optical clarity and 100% UV protection. Not to mention, these lenses are scratch resistant, which is definitely practical if your the kind of gal who recklessly throws her glasses into her LV (definitely not something I recommend). The frames are made from an Italian Cellulose Acetate, a high quality material derived from 100% renewable cotton fibres and wood pulp, which creates a stain resistant finish. Skilful craftsmanship can be seen in the details, with each right lens featuring a laser hand etched logo and a royal Japanese gold temple engraving on the arms of each frame.

When it comes to aesthetics, Royal Aquamarine are known for their classic shapes and cutting edge designs, from oversized frames in fairy floss pink, to a demur cat eye, they cater for any face shape and style.

If your looking for your next statement eyewear, then checkout the Royal Aquamarine website and follow them on Facebook and Instagram.

And for the cherry on top, they are giving my lovely readers a very generous 20% discount to use on your next purchase! Simply enter the codeword ‘TBSROYAL’ at checkout, effective till December 31st 2015. Enjoy x
