A gorgeous summer sunset just lends itself to rooftop galavants and a delicious, chilled bottle of Brown Brothers 18 Eighty Nine Dry Rosé. This particular beverage is a favourite of mine, with its summer fruit aroma and refreshing palate, a perfect brew for afternoon drinks with the girls.

For such an occasion, I like to style something light and feminine and this Marcs x Maricor/Maricar collection is just divine! This silky shift dress is great for balmy summer evenings, not to mention the exclusive confetti print is vibrant and fun. To view more from this collection, click here!

Cheers! Here’s to date night done right, feeling fabulous with a hint of sexy. It seems that first date drinks are quickly replacing the traditional dinner date, a transition I’m definitely partial to.  After all, a glass of bubbly certainly takes the edge off an awkward first encounter.

So, first things first, what does one wear to cheeky first date drinks? Playing the dating game myself, I’m all for helping out a sister! So here are my top 4 tips to styling a fabulous, (champagne friendly) first date outfit.

1. Like Paris, an LBD is always a good idea. Classic and understated, a little black dress will have you feeling fierce and sexy as you sip your cosmo. Not to mention, black is a slimming colour, so you’ll be your most confident you!

2. Put your best foot forward with a point. Point heels are very flattering, helping to extend the line of your leg and create the illusion of long, slim pins!

3. Show off a little sparkle. Other than your stellar personality, a little bit of bling shows you’re a girl with good taste.

4. Embrace your natural beauty. It’s no secret that men love natural beauty, so keep your makeup game as natural as possible. Think fresh dewy skin, slightly flushed cheeks, a soft lip and subtle highlighting for a little extra glow. Keep eyeliner to a minimum, and instead coat those lashes in luxe mascara. After all, it’s perfectly acceptable to bat those lashes at him!

Do you have a little style secret for a first date? I’de love to hear it first, so leave me a note below!

Days off call for sweet treats and delicious things, as we all need a little reward after the working week! As for my little sweet tooth, there’s one particular hotspot I visit to get my sugar fix – Chester Street Bakery. Located off James Street Precinct, the award winning dessert parlour is lined with cake cabinets, displaying the most decadent desserts. From a rich Nutella Pavlova, to a deliciously nutty Chocolate & Pretzel Peanut Butter Brownie, Chester Street Bakery is a delectable haven, perfect for a sneaky snack or an after dinner treat. As a busy gal on the go, I sipped on a classic Strawberry Milkshake, the perfect remedy for a scorching hot day!

My little adventure gave me the perfect opportunity to test out the NEW #MarcsStreetView platform, which allows you to snap, share and navigate your city’s most stylish hotspots, available to Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. As one of the Brisbane contributors, you too can visit my favourite hangouts where I indulge in (and snap) my favourite cuisine, by checking out my profile on #MarcsStreetView! Of course, this trendy hotspot calls for an outfit to match, so I’m styling a beautiful silk, mosaic rose print shift, as part of Marcs’ summer collection. It seems I’m totally coordinating my accessories with my milkshake, opting for pink, pink, pink! What can I say – it’s my signature colour!

Time to dash off for the weekend! Don’t forget to check out Marcs Street View platform, follow @marcs_clothing and the trending hashtag #MarcsStreetView. See you on the map!
