St Frock Front Row Quilted Capelette, Front Row Quilted Shorts, Cotton & Co Neckpiece, Tiffany & Co Return To Tiffany Earrings, Tiffany & Co “I Love You” Ring, Pandora Heart Ring, Jo Mercer Sublime Boot, Portmans Shirt (similar style here).

I’m bringing swagger to the blog with this two piece capelette and shorts duo from St Frock. With bold lines, quilted texture and structured detail, not to mention the most perfectly sculpted shoulder pads- I’m all over this semi-masculinity, aka “boyfriend” dressing at the moment. Throw in a monochrome colour palette and ankle booties and you have yourself a chic, minimalist, Autumn look- perfect for day or night wear.

Layering? Check! Fierce attitude? Check? Photographer in tow? Check! Erin Smith Photography playing paps while I channel a more poised side- the blinking, tripping, “awkward” photos didn’t make the cut, lucky for me!

As a special Easter treat for my followers, Erin has put together a little #bts videography from this shoot with a sneak peek of what’s to come! To view more of my vlogs, subscribe to my new Youtube channel.

Sheike Gold Foil Skirt (similar style here), Veronika Maine Giraffe Print Top, Jo Mercer Tanessa Heels, Oroton Cuff (similar style here), Lovisa Ear Cuff (similar style here).

I’m a creature of habit when it comes to redefining my personal style and replenishing my wardrobe, and what I love and gravitate towards is animal print. No surprises there. But today it’s all about specificity as I may just have found my favourite species of animal print- Giraffe. I’m not sure whether it’s the monochromatic colour scheme or the geographical shape that has me hooked, but I literally can’t get enough of this print!

This little Veronika Maine gem has become the shining star of my Autumn wardrobe. Worn with metallics as I have styled above, or boyfriend denim- this piece maintains it’s statement status, while walking on the wild side. Suddenly I’m seeing some double meaning of Beyonce’s #saschafierce.

Back to business with my longstanding blogger friend, Yolanda from BNEstyle. On Wednesday I had the absolute pleasure of joining Brisbane’s finest ladies of leisure for The Hat Box High Tea event, hosted by the Emporium Hotel. After a meet and greet with the lovely guests, and snapping their sensational style, I sat down to enjoy a delicious spread of fresh scones, macaroons and finger sandwiches. Was it worth breaking the diet?- you bet it was!

Aside from being snapped with the charming Dale Olsson from The Hat Box, my highlight of the event was watching a parade of the new season race wear from The Hat Box. Dale’s commentary on the parade discussed the major trends of the winter racing season- my favourite being black and white with a touch of red!

Social Snaps

Aside from the beautiful array of headpieces showcased, the Brisbane ladies certainly made a statement wearing bold colours, spectacular accessories and flawless makeup. Here’s a small glimpse of the stylish guests.

St Frock Elle Tartan Top, Mink Pink Get Serious PU Skirt, Jo Mercer Tanessa Heels, Lovisa Ear Cuff (similar style here) and Chain Link Bracelet.

Who would have thought tartan would make a comeback this season? This time round I’m ditching the schoolyard for a grungy car park, and swapping pleated skirts for PU leather. It’s all about that rebellious ‘tude and nothing screams punk rock princess like a crystallised ear cuff.

With me is the ace gang, Erin Smith Photography and Ghassani Swaryandini and together we three are up to all kinds of no good. But as fashion is fearless, as are we! School’s out…for now.
