Meet new age Barbie, the quirky, slightly flirtatious doll who’s traded in her cardboard box for a perfectly pink dream house. Styling a winter ensemble, she wears a pink trench coat, over a wild, animal print dress. With matching accessories, she styles a pastel pink beanie on top of her pastel toned hair and comes with a pair of statement pink sunglasses. Like any girl, she loves her jewellery and has teamed a Pandora pendant with a collection of stackable rings. While many barbies before her couldn’t keep track of their footwear, this Barbie will never loose her heels!

Equipped with a pink, polaroid camera, this Barbie has perfected her posing and pouting. With no Ken in sight, she’s queen of her castle, ruler of her mansion, a total #girlboss. Long live Queen B.

Silent Movie

It’s amazing to think that you can live in one town your whole life, walk by the same spot and remain blissfully unaware of the beauty around you. It’s something I’m sure we are all guilty of. I recently watched one of my favourite movies, “Singing In The Rain” and suddenly, I’m fixating upon this gorgeous little courtyard in the Brisbane CBD. I see a lamppost, a moonlit path (sadly no Gene Kelly) and suddenly I feel like I too am in a dreamy, silent movie.

Of course, I have prepared for the occasion with a sophisticated ensemble; high necks and longer hemlines remain consistent with the classy women of the silver screen. My pointy stilettos, while they don’t resemble a tap shoe, make a soft click clack on the pavement…a fashionable beat indeed!

Here’s something unsurprising, shopping is my favourite way to spend a Saturday. Purse at the ready, I’m excited to snap up a bargain and at DFO Brisbane, shopping for style is an affordable means!

Focused upon picking the perfect Mother’s Day gift, I spent the best part of the morning admiring the sparkly things at Oroton, sizing up winter pieces from Sportscraft and lusting over leathery goods at Fossil. Let’s just say, mummy’s about to be spoilt this year.

And the spending didn’t stop there. I picked up the cutest little Metallic Jacquard Dress from Cue to reward myself…and it didn’t even break the bank! Add a little blazer, a splash of silver and simple pair of black stilettos and voila, a chic little look for less!

Peachy Keen!

You’ve probably noticed I’ve had a hair transformation this year…and boy, do I feel like a brand new me! Making the decision to go from icy blonde, to a warmer, richer blonde with deeper highlights has been a healthy change for my hair and my skin. I’m feeling fresher, younger and more adventurous to try new things…like that gorgeous, over toned pastel look that’s filling up my Pinterest #hairinspo album. Using a Rosewood shampoo is giving my hair a peachy pink tone, which enhances my porcelain complexion and insights many compliments from kind strangers…Not to mention, it’s keeping colour very consistent in my life, as I acquire more (you guessed it) pink!

This silk Marcs blouse is the newest addition to my wardrobe. Soft, feminine and highly flirtatious with it’s lippy print, this piece is helping to add a little romance to my work wardrobe. Completed with a pair of relaxed trousers and poised points, I’m ready to start the day, #bosschic style!

Of course, it’s only fitting that I incorporate my new pieces from The Peach Box into this ensemble, as pearls and rose gold metals balance perfectly against the pretty, pastel hues.
