It feels like forever since Riverdale wrapped up an explosive second season, but I’m still reliving my favourite moments a la Netflix binge. There was so much to admire from a fashion perspective, from Cheryl Blossom’s opulent spider brooch, to Veronica’s pearls and preppy style, but none so iconic then the highly coveted, serpent jacket.

A mark of rebellion, upon watching Jughead Jones dramatically sling the leather jacket over his shoulders made me reach into my wardrobe for my leather jacket. Although it features a more feminine cut and sans serpent logo, I’m still feeling totally fierce in this timeless piece! *Cue Imagine Dragon’s Believer*

Styling a more edgy look than usual, I’m teaming my leather jacket with a flirty, flounce dress in a bold leopard print, available at NA-KD. I just love how the delicate layers move with wear, making this the perfect little dress for an evening out dancing with the girls.

I Want What She’s Styling: Saoirse Ronan

When it comes to the Hollywood style files, I want what Saoirse Ronan is styling. From sheer, shift dresses to structured blazers, this young starlet can do no wrong, on or off the red carpet. I’ve rounded up some key wardrobe staples to recreate her best looks.

At The Lady Bird Premiere Dublin

Both demure and positively darling, Saoirse styles a sheer shift dress with an allover strawberry print, totally fitting for her quirky role in Lady Bird. Keeping accessories to a minimal she styles the frock with a pair of pointed suede boots, proving timeless accessories speak volumes on the red carpet.

At The Santa Barbara Film Festival

In a bold move wearing culottes on the red carpet, Saoirse combines the statement pant of the Victorian era with a draping satin blouse. Again, a pointed toe heel makes an appearance, which can be substituted with a pair of mules for a more modern take.

Channeling Coco Chanel in a tweed blazer, decorated with embellished brooches, Saoirse is a vision in this vintage getup. I adore how Saoirse pairs her blazer with a LBM (little black mini). Kudos on those pins girl.

Portmans Denim Skirt (available at DFO Brisbane), Cue Top (available at DFO Brisbane), Sam Edelman Arizona Fringe Booties, Michael Kors Watch (similar style here), Swarovski Ring (similar style here), Oroton Handbag (similar style here).

As a girl that loves items of high quality, luxe fabrics and local Australian Designers, it’s not often I find myself using the word ‘bargain’. So imagine my excitement when I found all three at DFO Brisbane for a fraction of the price – $215 to be exact.

So what was it that caught my eye and my credit card details? After scouring the sale racks at Portmans, I came across this stylish black denim midi skirt which offers versatility to my AW wardrobe. But the best part? This little baby only set me back $45! Did I nab a bargain, or did I nab a bargain?

As for the top, it’s a new season Cue so it’s definitely not in the same price range, but with Cue your paying for beautiful quality and a proudly Australian owned label, so it’s definitely an investment. Plus that colour totally lends itself to a sultry plum or warm nude pout, which is the most coveted beauty trend of the AW16 season.

So Brisbane fashionista’s, if you haven’t made the trip out to DFO Brisbane, I definitely recommend you do so. Also, make sure you are keeping an eagle eye on the Instagram of @dfobrisbane, as they will be launching an exciting little competition very soon!
